Original MASI model Gran Criterium, handmade back in 1974 at the famous Faliero Masi’s workshop at the Vigorelli velodrome in Milan.
The gran criterium is one of the most appreciated models of the Masi production, even more if it comes with the iconic double plates fork crown. As for any historical Masi frame, the series of lugs was carefully filed and customize, a truly work of art. Please also note the GF bottom bracket and the Campagnolo dropouts, that got re-chromed during the restoration process together with the fork crown.
The frame was professionally restored in the original color and it got a new chrome-job and new decals.
Equipped with a Campagnolo Nuovo Record complete gruppo and other hi-end accessories from the appropriated era.
The frame didn’t show any major flaws such as cracks or dents before restoration, it was checked by professionals resulting perfectly aligned and solid. The bike is ready to race, it just need the tubulars to be glued to the rims, which were actually re-laced with new spokes the the original Campy record hubs.
